CONGRATULATIONS TO
OUR LOCSEC, JACKIE,

RG 2012 from a
hospitality perspective:
Being in hospitality, I didn’t get a chance to take in any pro- grams in their entirety, but I still had a blast.
Hospitality got great feedback, but it couldn’t have happened without the efforts of some wonderfully helpful individuals:
Jackie Boyce and Laura Deweese for procurement and precurement; Rebekah Krumrey for kitchen and kitchen savvy; Mary and Tom Merrifield for cooking and all-around hospitality assistance (great chicken mole’!); Greg Krumrey for hauling services, inventions and gadgets, oh my!; Sharon Pidgeon for games, storage, more hauling and kitchen assistance; Mary Jo Havens for her famous corn-chowder; Schlalfly Brewery and Stone Hill Wines for beverage donations (and to those who arranged them); (Long) John Massura for supplemental chili and, of course, Susan & Terry Ackerman, Bonnie & Rich Brumpton, Angie Doering and Ann Greenwald (sp?) for being there in the mornings for breakfast set-up. Apologies and gratitude to those I might have overlooked.----Jack Lippold

How to join Mensa
You may already be a winner! Many of us qualified unknowingly on tests taken years before joining. Click here for info on various tests and qualifying scores. If you have a qualifying score on one of these tests and a document showing that score, fill out this form, print it, and mail it to the address shown. Include a notarized copy of your document or, of course, the original (NOT RECOMMENDED). Mensa accepts over 200 tests; most are not listed. For more information contact our local Membership Chair at Membership Coordinator.

If you see this lady turning clockwise you are using
your right brain.
If you see it the other way, you are using your left brain.
Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.
If you try to see it the other way and if you do see it, your IQ is above 160 which
is almost a genius.
Then see if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the
brain's current.
BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN
This was proved at Yale University, over a 5 year study on the human brain
and its functions. Only 14% of the US population can see her move both ways.
Mensans - do you think this
is true?
Girlie Wisdom!
Women over 50 don't have babies because
they would put them down and forget where they left them.
A friend of mine confused her Valium
with her birth control pills... she has 14 kids but doesn't really care.
One of life's mysteries is how a
2-pound box of chocolates can make a woman gain 5 lbs.
My mind not only wanders, it sometimes
leaves completely.
The best way to forget your troubles is
to wear tight shoes.
The nice part about living in a small
town is that when you don't know what you are doing, someone else does.
The older you get, the tougher it is to
lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends.
Just when I was getting used to
yesterday, along came today.
Sometimes I think I understand
everything, and then I regain consciousness.
I gave up jogging for my health when my
thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers.
Amazing! You hang something in
your closet for a while and it shrinks 2 sizes!
Skinny people irritate me!Especially
when they say things like...'You know sometimes I forget to eat!' .....Now I've
forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name and my keys, but I have never
forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to
eat!
The trouble with some women is that
they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him.
I read this article that said the
typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too
fast. Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day!
